INTERNATIONAL FORMATION
AND CENTER REFLECTION HOUSE
The Blessed Edward Poppe Scholasticate House is an international community
of young Brothers and Candidates of the congregation of the Brothers of Charity whose members comes from different parts of
the world. They are following courses at International Institute of Canon Triest
wich is located in the same area. They live, eat, pray and study together. The aim of the community is to train young brothers
in the future professional field of apostolate, at the same time, they will learn each other's cultures, differences, spirituality
in the life of being a brother of charity.
The Center for Reflection of Edward Poppe is design for a place for retreat
and recollection. As of now, there are groups who conducted their prayer meetings and services. The brothers used it as retreat
and recollection place for several times already.
FOUNDING OF THE INTERNATIONAL NOVITIATE
The Brothers of Charity established an international novitiate in Belgium in 1997
to provide training for young Brothers coming to Belgium from several
Asian and African Countries. In 1999 the International Institute Canon Triest was established as a center for training, research
and exchange between universities, research and teaching institute, and groups, organizations, and individuals from around
the world. The goal of the Institute is to facilitate the mission of the Brothers of Charity through international cooperation.
The International Institute is organizing joint programs with leading universities, institutes, and centers worldwide. The
programs are developed to train in the fields of mental health care, care of the disabled/special education, health care management,
and spirituality. Especially geared to individuals coming from and/or intending to become professional works in emerging/developing
countries, the programs are aimed at reinforcing the professional level of the Brothers of Charity and co-workers of the Brothers
of Charity in its mission of empowering individuals at risk due to a psychiatric condition, a disability, or lack of access
to education and/or health care.

Adoration: Every Friday from 06.30pm till 07.30pm (Adoration and Evening Prayer), except on the first Friday from 08.30pm till 09.30pm
